Mom told me to go play on the sidewalk. I played in and out of the crevices. It was my favorite place to play in. It is the safest place to play in because the humans rarely come this way. As I went along I found the hugest crumb ever. I was going to go tell everyone but that was when the humans came out. They started stomping on my friends. I crawled inside my home to tell mom.

When i was inside the hill I heard thunder which gave more pressure to tell mom what was happening. Mom said "Don't go near them." Me, my friends, and my family stampeded out of the hill. When we got out I looked back and saw the humans spraying this cloudy yellow gas. But all I thought was no, no, no our home is lost. I was lost in thought for what felt like hours. But we finally came to the safe house with the gas masks.
